Well I made it !

After a seven week course (which would have been 8 but I missed the first one – see previous blog) I have gone from running no miles and no meters and no inches to being able to do 5 miles and I'm very pleased with my little self. Yesterday evening was the End and also the Beginning.
The End …of the course which was a fun team event evening with runners of all abilities, some doing 3 miles some 4 and some 5.5. The team who got all their runners back first were the winners – our team (team blue) came second so I didn’t disgrace anyone which I'm very happy about – and I was in the 4 mile group. I know that pride comes before a fall and all that so I'm trying to keep a level head but I'm sooo pleased with myself. I never ever thought I would be able to run 50 yards so to get to 5 miles for me is massive.
The Beginning….. is now the start of my continuation ……… if that makes sense. I will be a fully paid up and very proud member of the Stainland Lions, I cant wait to get my vest, hoody, hat, car sticker and anything else I can get my hands on.

The road goes on forever :o)
