Two Bee or not Two Bee

See that was the question.....
I'm worried, and have been for some weeks now, about a small pile of dust that keeps appearing on the floor of my bathroom, no matter how often I sweep it up, the next morning, there it is again - "its a mouse behind the bath" declared my significant other. I thought about getting a humane mouse trap, but before splashing out copious amounts of money I figured out a cunning plan and I placed a small piece of bread on the floor by the bath. I sat in wait with baited breath. Actually its a good job I didn’t sit and wait long because the bread went dry, then hard, then green with mould before it was removed a week later with not a sign of a nibble!

Having a much closer inspection of the pile of dust I decided that it was falling down the wall from a gap in the tongue and groove ceiling..... "Could be a wasp's nest" was the next suggestion made to me. I pointed this out to my aforementioned 'other' who thought that it would be a good idea to go into the loft and check it out, So I sat in wait for him to do this. Actually its a good job I didn’t sit in wait as I would have turned dry, then hard, then green with mould before anything happened. Which brings me to the reason for today’s Blog title .....
On my return from work I discovered two bees climbing up my window, after some discussion with aforementioned other and not previously mentioned Son, we established that they were definitely bees and not wasps, although it has to be said none of us are Apiarists.. (Look it up). Yesterday I had noticed a bee dying on the floor in my room so I figured that they must be coming from somewhere close by............... ooooohhhh thinks I...... maybe there is a nest in the underdrawing and it is bees that are causing the dust in the bathroom. So… I had a cunning plan! We should (notice the use of the word 'we') catch the bees one at a time, let them outside and watch to see where they go?? Not a bad plan for a Monday evening.
Stephen (the helpful one) brought in a washed and empty tin that had a few minutes before contained beans. Placed it over B1 and slid the very sharp top over the tin.... missing the bee but scratching the glass on the window and ultimately capturing nothing but air! Being of a determined nature Stephen then gave up, walked away and left it to me.

I caught B1 with the old drinking glass and piece of paper trap and went outside with Stephen to free it whilst he supposedly watched where it went - however he forgot!! ... After gritting my teeth and successfully capturing the second bee (or B2) I went outside, let the Bee go and watched in eager anticipation ..... and ...... B2 buggered off in the opposite direction of the house!
Sometimes there are questions that are not meant to be answered … I'm getting used to the pile of dust
