Barred from the Blood Doners

After a 10 year gap in donating my blood I decided to give it another shot.
I have not had the ability to donate blood since they brought in the 15 minute rule....quite a number of years ago! Apparently I don’t like to part with it, it doesn’t flow and my veins are difficult to find.

However due to a desperate appeal by Leeds Council I trotted off to the Civic Centre in order to do my bit… 1 hour and 30 minutes later I left. I was told, by a very nice sister, that it was very good of me to try again and that its been very nice speaking to you but bugger off now and don’t ever come back’..... or words that were similar in context!

I didn’t even see a needle!! However, I did test out every kind of tauna key in existence and they did test my iron levels which are very good. So…. If they cant find a vein ....does that mean I’m an android :o)
